The global water crisis claims the lives of more than 800,000 men, women, and children each year. Parents struggle to lift their families out of poverty when so many hours are spent collecting water that is often contaminated. Boys and girls are too sick to attend school because of drinking unsafe water.
Access to safe water can change lives, building health and hope. It can create educational and economic opportunities that help break the cycle of poverty in families and communities.
Water Mission was founded and led by our very first volunteers, co-founders George and Molly Greene. For more than 20 years, we have continued partnering with faithful volunteers in that same spirit—volunteers who use their voices, resources, and passion to advocate for the 2 billion people worldwide who lack access to safe water. Together, we can fight the global water crisis and share the hope of Jesus, the Living Water.
