On World Water Day WMI officially introduced new international headquarters!
Speakers at the ceremony join George Greene IV, Molly Greene and George Greene III of Water Missions International in cutting the ribbon for the new WMI international headquarters in Charleston, S.C.
This past weekend was packed with big milestones for Water Missions International - and we were so happy to share them with our strategic relationships, volunteers and supporters of all kinds. One specific one was the dedication of our new space. On Friday, March 22, we celebrated World Water Day with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at our new facility in North Charleston. There could not have been a better day to dedicate the facility to our mission - to bring life-saving safe water and sanitation solutions to people in developing countries and disaster areas.
With a few days now past, it's amazing to reflect on the event and think of all the wonderful people who surrounded our organization with well wishes. We're blessed to have dedicated volunteers, committed donors, community support and corporate strategic relationships that make what we do possible. A special thank you goes out to Mayor Joe Riley of Charleston, Ben Santarris of SolarWorld, Rev. Isacc J. Holt, Jr., Major General Julian H. Burns, Rev. Mark J. Lawrence and Rev. Thomas W. Johnston, Jr. for sharing their kind words about WMI during the event.
Thank you again for celebrating this momentous day with us, in order to bring attention to the global safe water crisis and our facility that will help us fight it. If you're in the Charleston area, be sure to stop by our new digs. We would love to show you around the space!
