Why We're #Blue4Water on World Water Day

March 22, 2016
This World Water Day, we're going #Blue4Water. As a member of the Millennium Water Alliance, we're uniting with water organizations around the world to advocate for those without safe water. Roughly 1.8 billion people still lack access to safe water, and we're working to change that statistic by using our voices this World Water Day. Kristen Check, Program Evaluation Coordinator, goes #Blue4Water. Kristen Check, Program Evaluation Coordinator at Water Mission We're going #Blue4Water for a lot of reasons. We asked some of our HQ staff to list their favorites. Meghan Proctor, Administrative Project Specialist at Water Mission We're going #Blue4Water because roughly 2.4 billion people live without adequate sanitation, and we think that needs to change. We're going #Blue4Water because we know that reductions in time to collect water increases school attendance. We believe safe and sustainable water projects provide hope, restore broken communities, and save lives. With your generosity, over 3 million people are drinking safe water for the rest of their lives, and we're working so that more communities can do the same.
