Water Sunday 2015: Stepping into the Unknown
Three years ago, Water Sunday began as a way to mobilize churches in providing safe water to the millions of people who do not have access to it. Since then, thousands of lives have been transformed all over the world. This April, Water Sunday will bring the body of Christ together to focus on the water crisis and we invite you to join us.
Water Sunday is April 26th, 2015, one Sunday your church sets aside to focus on the global water crisis, through a variety of activities, studies or sermons that bring the congregation into solidarity with people all over the world who lack safe water. It includes a special offering to provide safe water and the Living Water message for those in desperate need. Water Sunday is an inter-denominational event and can be incorporated into the life of your church, no matter your specific style of worship. Whether you choose the beverage fast as a Lenten program, would like to emphasize the Global Water Crisis for the whole month of March, or participate for just one day on April 26th, we have a package of Water Sunday resources that are done for you and completely free.
By participating in Water Sunday your church will touch lives around the world where Water Missions International implements safe water projects: Haiti, Honduras, Belize, Mexico, Peru, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Indonesia.
Join us as we continue to follow God into the communities that need safe water. Let's open our eyes to the need of safe water worldwide, something we take for granted. We are His disciples; He is calling us beyond our comfort zone. He is calling us to step into the unknown.
