Walk for Water | Thank You Charleston

The format of the Walk for Water is inspired by the plight of women and children around the world who walk an average of 3.5 miles every day to gather water that is often unsafe for their families. Together, participants raised nearly $290,000 to provide sustainable safe water and sanitation solutions around the world!
Safe water builds health, joy, opportunity, and so much more. With safe water, children have more time to learn and adults are able to live without fear of their families contracting waterborne illnesses. Water Mission is driven to provide everyone access to safe water, and the 2018 Walk for Water has helped the organization get one step closer to that goal.
Our supporters came together with love and generosity to raise awareness and funds. Because they chose to make a difference, thousands of people will taste safe water for the very first time.
