Special Message from CEO and President George Greene IV
by George Greene IV, PE, Water Mission CEO and President
I would like to thank Héctor Chacón for his 21 years of service to Water Mission as our Honduras Director. After my father, Water Mission’s co-founder Dr. George Greene III, and me, Hector has had the longest tenure with Water Mission. We are grateful for his service, which included serving on Water Mission's board for a number of years.
Héctor has been instrumental in stewarding and growing our Honduras country program, resulting in the implementation of more than 300 community water projects and 20,000 healthy latrines. Under Héctor’s leadership, our team in Honduras has served hundreds of thousands of people. Héctor has also led disaster relief efforts in Honduras and supported relief efforts in other countries, including Bolivia, Haiti, Belize, El Salvador, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. These represent the highlights of his tenure with Water Mission, and we are deeply grateful for his service and contributions over the years. As Héctor steps down from his role at the end of July, please join me in celebrating his dedication and accomplishments at Water Mission.
Thank you, Héctor!
