Join Water Mission and the Global Water Center to Help End the Global Water Crisis

As Water Mission and the Global Water Center continue to grow, our goal is to hire individuals who embody the values of love, excellence, and integrity. This approach helps foster a welcoming, energetic, and Christ-centered workplace. These values were integral when Water Mission was founded in 2001 and continue to serve as the foundation for how we approach our work today.
“At Water Mission, my passions and skills overlap,” said Julia Sherry, a program evaluation specialist on Water Mission’s community development team. “I love the actual content of my job and the work I do alongside staff all around the world each day.”
With more than 10 specialized departments based out of Water Mission’s Charleston office, as well as staff working remotely across the country, we are seeking to fill positions in several areas. These include community development, engineering, human resources (HR), investor partnerships, marketing and communications, and more.
Each department is working on several notable initiatives. Here are a few:
- Investor Partnerships is strategically growing relationships with key individuals and partners around the world.
- HR is creating a global infrastructure that empowers and supports staff in 10 countries and major disaster areas.
- Marketing and Communications is developing an integrated communications and advocacy program that engages the public in ending the global water crisis.

Global Water Center: A New Organization Founded by Water Mission
Last year, Water Mission’s leadership team welcomed Chris Holdorf, former CEO of the National Christian Foundation, as the executive director of the Global Water Center, a nonprofit founded by Water Mission. “The vision of the Global Water Center is to see 2.2 billion, the number of people who lack access to sustainable safe water, become zero,” Holdorf said. “In the process, access to physical water becomes the means to Living Water, for God’s glory.” Serving as a resource for the global WASH community, the Global Water Center is a separate entity to Water Mission but co-located in Charleston. Its purpose is to rapidly scale the world’s efforts to bring safe water to everyone in need. “Our two-pronged strategy is to implement best-in-class safe water and sanitation projects and be a resource to other organizations engaged in this work,” said George Greene III, PE, Ph.D., Water Mission co-founder and board chair of the Global Water Center. The Global Water Center is currently in the process of launching a new Mobile Discovery Center that will be touring major cities across the country.Grow With Us
During this time of expansion, we can’t help but express our excitement in seeking staff members who are eager to grow with us through both Water Mission and the Global Water Center.
