Introducing Water Missions International: Tanzania!
A safe water project is already underway to bring these children safe water in Tanzania.
Our newest country program will bridge the geographical gap between our existing programs in Malawi, Kenya, and Uganda, enabling us to broaden the scope of our work in eastern Africa. The addition of another country program in this region will allow us to provide more infrastructures in Africa to continue expanding our work, making projects in nations bordering our country programs more logistically efficient.
Our team in Tanzania has already begun work on three safe water projects, with many more ahead. Projects range from community solutions to institutional projects. We’re eager to begin employing solar technology—an ideal solution for rural Africa—to provide safe water for communities in need. We’re also exploring the opportunity to broaden our TradeWater™ program, a management model designed for communities that lack the necessary capacity to maintain our standard community-managed safe water solution.
Communities like this one lack a safe water source nearby, so women and children must trek long distances to collect unsafe water.
Our first shipment to Water Missions International - Tanzania will take place in the beginning of December. We’ll send solar panels, pumps, treatment equipment, and supplies to stock the program for future projects.
We look forward to expanding our capacity to impact communities in Tanzania with sustainable, comprehensive safe water solutions. As stories of transformation unfold, we’ll update you on our projects in Tanzania. We appreciate your prayers and support as we continue to build our newest office and our newest team!
