Hach Walk For Water
On Saturday, May 8th, over 200 participants and volunteers gathered at Hach Company’s Loveland location for the first annual Walk for Water in support of Water Missions International. Local Loveland High School Cheerleaders kicked off the walk with an original cheer while a marimba band played festive music, serenading the walkers who collectively raised over $12,000 to help fund a safe water community development project.
“Hosting Hach’s first Walk for Water was a thrill. We brought Hach associates, families, and friends together to raise money for a great cause, have fun, and gain a more personal perspective on the walk made by tens of millions of people every day to find clean water. It also brought home the importance of the work we do every day, providing products that ensure water quality for people around the world. We have already started planning next year’s Walk, and hope this becomes a tradition at Hach for years to come!” – Kevin Klau, SVP Global Business Units, Hach Company
Kevin and his family led the walk carrying the Hach banner.
Everyone involved gained a better understanding of the global water crisis though activities teaching about the need for safe water, samples of Hach’s own water safety technology, and a demo unit of Water Missions International’s Living Water™ Treatment System.
“Watching how the employees of Hach were able to engage with this hands-on event, really highlighted both the mission of the company to ensure water safety around the world and their amazing partnership with Water Missions International,” explained Lauren Jernigan, a staff member of Water Missions International. “We are grateful to everyone who was involved in the Hach Walk for Water and look forward to sharing the impact it will have in the lives of those who thirst!”
