Giving Back on #GivingTuesday

December 1, 2015
For many, the holiday season tends to be packed with mildly panicked trips to the store, frustrating hours spent sitting in traffic and extra cups of coffee just to make it through the day. Thanksgiving arrives with all its wonderful feelings of thankfulness and just as quickly slips into Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, without a single glance back. Then #GivingTuesday was created. A day to stop being concerned with finding the best bargain. A time to slow down and remember all the gratitude we had on Thanksgiving. A chance to put into practice the ideas of giving we so recently cultivated and praised. The moment we get to glance back and enter the giving season with generosity. This year we want to invite you to join us in giving something that is more than just another gift. You are invited to celebrate the life-changing impact of safe water. Light of the World | Christmas Catalog For the people of Dindi, Malawi, their story is the epitome of all that safe water brings to a community. Children used to leave at 11 PM, spending all night collecting water and returning home late in the morning. Now, because of safe water, those same children get to sleep through the night, and wake up refreshed and ready to tackle the day. Giving Tuesday As we rejoice over the blessings being poured out on Dindi this Christmas season, our hearts still yearn for the 1.8 billion who live without safe water. Today, we have the opportunity to take another step toward safe water for all. Let's give out of the abundance we've been given and become a part of life change for millions around the world. As you begin (or are near the end of) your Christmas shopping, consider giving a different kind of gift this year: one that brings safe and Living Water into new communities. From $10 to $500, our Christmas Catalog gifts are wonderful ways to celebrate the people that you hold dear. Dindi, Malawi Give Today
