Volunteer with Water Mission
Water Mission was founded and led by our very first volunteers, co-founders George and Molly Greene. For 20 years, we have continued partnering with faithful volunteers in that same spirit—volunteers who use their voices, resources, and passion to advocate for the 2.2 billion people worldwide who lack access to safe water. Together, we can fight the global water crisis and share the hope of Jesus, the Living Water.
“My life’s purpose is to use my passion and people skills to lead, encourage, and help people become the people our Lord has purposed them to be especially—as it relates to providing safe and Living Water.”
– Molly Greene, co-founder
Volunteer Opportunities in Charleston
Water Mission was founded on the belief that we are called to use our time, talent, and resources to serve God and share His love with others. Our ministry succeeds in large part because of the dedicated team of volunteers who come together to use their various gifts and talents at our North Charleston, SC headquarters. We have opportunities for various skills and abilities, including performing administrative functions, leading tours, assisting with special events, preparing shipments, becoming a community advocate, working with our facilities, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities in Your Community
At Water Mission, we are mobilizing a network of Christ-centered volunteers throughout the United States. These volunteers will use their voices, resources, prayer, and influence to combat the global water crisis and share the gospel with millions of people around the world.
In your own community, you can be a part of forming an Area Team. Each team will include various opportunities to serve in your area of gifting—positions include Area Team Leader, Water Mission Advocate, Prayer Team Member, and Walk for Water Coordinator.
You can make a difference in the lives of men, women, and children around the world who lack access to safe water—life’s most basic, essential resource—from your very own community. Join us in this exciting volunteer ministry!
Volunteer with Disaster Response
Water Mission was born out of the need for safe water in the wake of a disaster. Our co-founders provided desperately needed safe water systems in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch in Honduras in 1998. Since then, we have responded to some of the world’s most devastating natural and humanitarian disasters.
Water Mission occasionally has opportunities for volunteers to serve alongside staff in a disaster response. If you have experience serving in a disaster setting or would like to learn more about future disaster response volunteer opportunities, please email [email protected].
