Victor Cortez
Regional Director, Latin America
Victor Cortez joined Water Mission in January 2022 as the Regional Director for Latin America. He brings more than 30 years of experience in development and humanitarian assistance programs to his role.
Previously, Mr. Cortez served as Senior Director of Leadership Development with Food for the Hungry, a Christian humanitarian organization devoted to ending poverty by providing life-changing development programs, disaster relief, and advocacy. Throughout his career, he has designed and implemented holistic projects that seek transformational development through health, WASH, education, livelihoods, and disaster risk reduction interventions. He has worked in numerous countries, including Bolivia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
Mr. Cortez graduated from Juan Misael Saracho University in Bolivia with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering and earned his master’s degree at NUR University in La Paz, Bolivia.
