Rocio Cruz

Rocio Cruz is an executive in humanitarian aid and international development, with over 15 years of experience driving strategic leadership, resource mobilization, and systems transformation. As the Executive Director of Food for the Hungry, Dominican Republic, Rocio has led innovative programs that empower communities, foster resilience, and address systemic challenges through data-driven solutions. With expertise in organizational development, public policy, and strategic partnerships, Rocio has participated in creating sustainable and high-impact outcomes in complex global contexts. 

Fluent in English and Spanish, Rocio brings a global perspective and a collaborative leadership style that bridges cultural divides and inspires teams to deliver mission-critical results to Water Mission. Rocio's passion lies in leveraging technology, fostering equity, and empowering vulnerable populations. Whether advocating for policy change, cultivating strategic relationships, or mentoring future leaders, Rocio is committed to building a world where communities thrive and flourish.

Rocio holds a graduate certificate in Systems Thinking (Systems Science and Theory) and a graduate certificate in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York. She has served at the New York State Assembly, Newtech S.R.L., and Food for the Hungry in Human Resources and leadership roles. Rocio is married and has two amazing kids.
