Request for prayers as police investigation continues
N. Charleston, S.C. —June 22, 2021– With heavy hearts, Water Mission, a nonprofit Christian engineering organization, is saddened to announce the passing of Fred Boyo Kipyegon, a night security guard who was killed during a robbery of its office in Kitale, Kenya. Water Mission staff are actively working with local authorities, and a police investigation is ongoing.
“We are devasted by this loss, and our heart breaks for Fred’s family. He was a friend to many of our staff and will be dearly missed. While we grieve, we are comforted to know that Fred loved the Lord and is in the arms of his heavenly Father. Please pray for Fred’s wife, children, and our Kenya team,” said George C. Greene IV, PE, CEO and President of Water Mission.
