Whether this is your first Partners Summit or your 11th, we hope you enjoy the experience. Our goal is to encourage you by demonstrating your tangible impact on the global water crisis through your partnership with Water Mission. Thank you for sharing this time with us to develop new and exciting ways of partnering together.
We aim to honor God by developing, implementing, and sharing best-in-class safe water solutions that transform as many lives as possible, as quickly as possible. We hope that you will find inspiration for ways to further engage with us and that your time in the Lowcountry will be truly memorable.

President and CEO
HOPE International
Peter Greer is the president and CEO of HOPE International. Peter’s favorite part of his job is spending time with the entrepreneurs HOPE serves—whether harvesting coffee with farmers in Rwanda, dancing alongside savings groups in Haiti, or visiting the greenhouses of entrepreneurs in Ukraine. Prior to HOPE, he worked in Rwanda, Cambodia, and Zimbabwe and received a master’s in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School. In his spare time, he has co-authored 12 books, including Mission Drift and Rooting for Rivals. He lives with his wife, Laurel, and their four children in Lancaster, PA.

Water Builds the Local Church
From the organization’s inception, Water Mission has impacted the lives of those we serve through our Living Water program. This session will provide an overview of how Water Mission engages the local church in communities around the world and our vision for expanding to reach more people. Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity that is part of our church engagement program to experience firsthand how we equip the local church for ministry in their communities.

Sustainability, ESG, and Ending the Global Water Crisis
To reach the 2.2 billion people that don’t have access to safe water, for-profit market forces must join the effort. This session will discuss how the sustainability trend is providing a pathway to a funding model that could help end the global water crisis. The session will include a panel conversation with corporate partners focused on sustainability. The team will share information on a pilot effort already launched in Tanzania.

Grundfos and the Poul Due Jensen Foundation entered a long-term partnership with Water Mission to evaluate the success of more than 20 projects in last-mile communities in Kenya. This session will share how the initiative provided safe water solutions, invested in community development, and created lasting change.

Water Mission is more than an engineering organization. We focus on community development, measure social impact, and provide evidence of outcomes with data. This session will demonstrate how safe water creates educational and economic opportunities that help break the cycle of poverty in families and communities.

Water Mission began work in Haiti in 2003 and has since implemented hundreds of community development projects and responded to multiple disasters in the country. This session will focus on the challenges in responding to crises in Haiti and the resilience of the people we serve.

This will be our 11th Pigs & Pearls dinner honoring our partners. The menu for the evening consists of barbecue (pigs) and oysters (pearls), as well as a complimentary beer and wine bar.

On Saturday, March 26, people from around the Charleston area will gather in Riverfront Park or at a location of their choice to walk in the 16th Annual Walk for Water. If you RSVP’d to attend the Walk, you will receive a T-shirt before Walk day. All attendees for the Partners Summit will walk together at 9 a.m. Please park in the VIP parking area and enter the main gates to the park. Upon arrival, there will be a short program, and then the Walk will begin. Walkers will take an empty bucket, walk 1.5 miles to the halfway point (Water Mission Headquarters), fill their bucket, then walk back to the entry area of Riverfront Park.

Please arrive early and park in the VIP parking area. The information sheet you received at the Partners Summit will serve as your parking pass. Enjoy a continental breakfast and morning coffee with fellow attendees at the VIP Tent located near the stage where the Walk will begin. - 9:00 a.m.
Make your way to the front of the stage to lead the 16th Annual Walk for Water. - 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
After you finish the Walk, celebrate in the park with food trucks, music, and activities for kids. Visit our Next Mile Booth to learn about ways you can continue to support Water Mission and help end the global water crisis.
